We, Reiko and Michel Méry offer you our furnished apartment for your short stay in Nimes for your vacation, your study abroad, or simply just short stay.

 

This 2 bedroom vacation rental apartment is located in the center of the city of Nîmes, in Provence, where the Southern French style has met and mixed with the Roman one for thousands of years! Situated on the ground floor on a 2-story building from the 1800s, it features most of the modern amenities desired by vacationers today, including an intercom security system, wireless Internet access and on-site laundry facilities. Its windows overlook the street and an interior courtyard and respectively face West and East.

The two bedroom accommodation features antique and mostly wooden furniture brought from a family house, emphasizing the authentic Provencal character of this rental. It's spread amongst the entrance hall, the living and dining room and its fireplace, which looks at the kitchen through a half-moon serving hatch. The master bedroom comes with a full double size bed and opens on the second bedroom, actually set up as an extra sitting room, with convertible sofa bed, coffee table and desk. The bathroom is located as the other end of the apartment.

The apartment is close to the very heart of this quaint city with plenty of shops, markets, cafés and restaurants. It's only 1/3 of a mile from the famous Roman arena of Nîmes, a nice stroll down the the car-free streets dating from the Middle Ages. Here in the very center of the city, go out and enjoy a walk and the fresh products of the numerous fresh markets of Nîmes, the closest being just 3 blocks away on the Boulevard Jean Jaurès every Friday! The Jardins de la Fontaine, an impressive park and its ponds are less than 0.4 mile away and there are many other attractions in the surroundings of Nîmes. You can reach the Pont du Gard famous Roman aqueduct, which also is UNESCO world heritage, reachable within a 15 mile drive, whereas a train will take to the coastal city of Le Grau du Roi and to the Mediterranean for only one euro during summer, Nîmes train station being just 0.8 mile away from your apartment!
